At Birmingham Hebrew Congregation, we understand that arranging a funeral is one of life's most difficult moments. Our community is committed to offering compassionate guidance, practical support, and dignified care to every family throughout the bereavement process.

 

In the event of a bereavement, please contact the Singers Hill Bereavement Office on 07932 788 991 (available daily, 8am-10pm, including weekends and bank holidays). For all other enquiries, please call the main office on 0121 643 0884.

BHC has proudly served the Birmingham Jewish community for over 300 years and continues to fund, maintain, and care for the Jewish cemeteries at Witton and Brandwood End, ensuring they remain respectful and fitting places of remembrance for future generations.

• Progressive Jewish members: Witton Cemetery

Funeral charges

​

• BHC Members' funeral rate: £7,900

• Non-members' funeral rate: £10,900

• Sunday / Bank Holiday surcharge: £885 (if applicable)

• Optional limousine (per car): £300

• Grave reservation (in advance): £300

​

These charges include all essential funeral services (including hearse, shroud, coffin, tahara and grave in perpetuity) as well as a contribution towards cemetery upkeep and maintenance.

We recognise that financial circumstances vary, and anyone experiencing financial difficulties (members or non-members) is strongly encouraged to contact us in confidence. We will always do our utmost to provide support and make appropriate arrangements with dignity and sensitivity.
